A summary of who I am.
I finished my MSc in Data Analytics at the University of Strathclyde with a Distinction, after a BSc in Business Technology at the University of the West of Scotland and an HND in Computer Science at Glasgow Clyde College. That route is deliberate: I enjoy taking complex datasets, cleaning them up and creating visualisations or recommendations that people can act on immediately.
Day to day that means Python and R for the analysis, SQL for getting at the data, and Power BI, Tableau or Excel when the result needs to be something a team can explore for themselves. I'm detail-oriented and organised, comfortable working alone or in a team, and I document as I go so the work can be picked up by someone else.
My dissertation was the biggest piece of work I've done, three months and over 25,000 words comparing ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude, and testing which prompts pull the best responses out of them, scored on length, sentiment and readability.
Every project here ends the same way, with a recommendation, not just a chart.
